Sociedad Latina Awarded Wellington Catalyst Gift!

Dear Friends,

I am pleased to share that Sociedad Latina has been selected, as one of eight organizations statewide, for the Wellington Management Foundation Catalyst Gift.

The Wellington Management Foundation’s mission is to support best-in-class programs and organizations in our communities that improve education and educational opportunities for underserved youth. The Catalyst Gift was launched in 2015 to help organizations showing meaningful and sustainable academic outcomes to move forward in a significant way toward their strategic vision. In three years, Wellington Management Foundation has awarded 25 major gifts totaling over $6.9 million.

With support of foundations like the Wellington Management Foundation, Sociedad Latina’s reach has more than doubled in recent years. We have grown from serving 2,000 youth and families in 2011 to now serving over 5,000 each year. Sociedad Latina could not accomplish our mission without the continued support from our funders and partners. This gift allows Sociedad Latina to enhance our most engaging programs and serve the growing number of youth and families involved with the organization. These planned enhancements will prepare more Latino youth for Boston’s thriving innovation economy and cultivate the city’s next generation of civic and cultural leaders.

Together we hope to address the inequities that Latino’s and students of color face by increasing educational & career opportunities. Thank you to all who have supported Sociedad Latina's work with Boston’s Latino youth and families.
